by Matthew D. Miller on August 1st, 2010

The Child Evangelism Fellowship of Oklahoma Prayer Coordinator is Wendell Mason.

"Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power..." (Rev. 4:11)
  1. Twenty-four young people enrolled in the Christian Youth in Action training school held in Tulsa June 8-18. On Friday, June 11, they did open air evangelism, and 39 accepted the Lord. Pray the young people will be attentive to instruction and blessed as they share the message of salvation throughout the summer in 5-Day Clubs.
  2. Nine staff teaching and working at the CYIA training school.
  3. Three more church partnerships in Edmond, Moore, and Norman for sponsoring Good News Clubs in community elementary schools.
  4. Greater OKC chapter committee serving to advance church partnerships.
  5. Superintendent of Norman Public Schools is positive about GNCs in the elementary schools there.
  6. The Lord has raised up staff for Quial Springs Baptist Church to begin a Good News Club in Charles Haskell Elementary in Edmond.
  7. John Vincent at 40% funding for full-time ministry. Pray for 100%, so John can serve full time.
  8. John had a successful ministry trip to West Central Oklahoma June 9-11. Nine cities and 2 towns visited; 3 prayer groups started; 6 pastors personally visited; left promotional materials with 3 other pastors.
  9. Report from CEF around the world: Over 10 million children were reached with the Gospel message in this last ministry year.
Pray for:
  1. Staff needed for Mt. Triumph Baptist Church for 5-Day Clubs this summer and Good News Clubs this fall.
  2. For other partnerships with churches and training staff to equip workers in the churches--pray for the Lord's leading to pastors and churches that He is preparing for more effective evangelism and discipleship of children and families.
  3. CEF was able to rent the facilities of ORU for the training school. Pray for the CYIAers to be diligent to study and teach effectively in the 5-Day Clubs. Pray for their protection in travel and freedom from any harm in places where they teach. Pray for much fruit.
  4. Pray for the children--that many will be saved and God's Word will be meaningful in their hearts and lives. Many are in crises situations.
  5. Continue to pray that the Lord will lead us to the right people to serve on the state board and on chapter committees (especially NE and Greater OKC chapters for now).
